The SSAA ACT Inc. Range Complex, solely owned by SSAA ACT Inc., is one of the most advanced multi-discipline shooting facilities in Australia. Behind the scenes, a dedicated team of Range Management volunteers ensure the safe, effective, and compliant operation of the range.
From safety oversight to infrastructure upkeep, Range Management is the foundation of our day-to-day operations.
What is Range Management?
Range Management includes everything that keeps the whole complex operating safely and smoothly, including:
Range safety compliance and signage
Maintenance of targets, benches, fences, roads and facilities
Coordination of range use across disciplines and clubs and other bookings
Site inspections and safety audits
Communication with members and discipline and club captains
Organising working bees for minor construction or repairs and managing major construction
The team works closely with discipline coordinators, volunteers, and the SSAA ACT Inc. Council to ensure that the complex meets the needs of all users.
