Firearms Safety Course (A & B Category)
The courses are held at 6.30pm in the SSAA ACT Clubhouse on the SSAA ACT Range Complex at 50 Hector McIntosh Grove, Majura and courses start at 6.30pm.
Course Requirements
The Firearms Safety Module must be downloaded and read before the course. This is a mandatory pre-requisite for this course.

- Bookings are essential and can be made by using the online booking system at the bottom of this page. Courses must be booked and paid for online.
- Juniors must be 12 years and older to attend the course, proof of age will need to be shown and all juniors must be accompanied by an adult.
- SSAA ACT Safety Certificates are accepted by both the ACT and NSW Firearms Registries.
- If you hold a current Firearms license in another State/Territory you do not need to complete a safety course, the Registry will recognise your current license when you apply for an ACT license.
- Once you have booked your place on a course, please download and complete the application form below and email to safety.course@ssaaact.org.au. This needs to be completed before the course, and a copy must also be brought with you on the night.

What to Bring to the Course
- A copy of the Firearms Safety Module (paper or electronic versions are fine)
- A Pen
- Photo Identification
- Completed Safety Course Application Form
- Enclosed Footware (no thongs, sandals or open toed shoes allowed)
- ACT residents can bring their completed Firearms Application forms for club approval (SSAA members only)
