Dear SSAA ACT Inc. Member,

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of SSAA ACT Inc. will be held on Sunday 10 November 2024 commencing at 1:30pm on the Jim McKinley Range.

A General Meeting (GM) will be held after the AGM following a short break. 

The AGM and GM are important meetings for all members to attend and give members a broad overview of the Association’s activities for the year including to receive reports from disciplines, clubs and sections and the presentation of audited annual financial reports.

All members are encouraged to attend, as not only is it an opportunity to learn more about the Association, it is also when members vote on the future direction we take.

AGMs and GMs are the only opportunity that members have a vote as an individual on a whole range of issues for the Association. These include the election of the volunteers for executive committee positions (President, Vice President, Deputy Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer) and the appointment of members’ delegates. It also provides an opportunity for members to decide on honorariums for volunteers, ratification of new disciplines/clubs/sections, changes to the Constitution and fees charged by the Association.

General meetings also present an opportunity for members to voice their feedback in relation to the running and management of the Association. 

• Members can register to vote until the elected positions are declared vacant.
• Late attendees are welcome to observe the meeting but will not be able to vote. 

We also invite you to join us for a wood-fired pizza lunch, commencing at 12:30pm until the commencement of the AGM. To assist with catering for the lunch, we require members to RVSP via the link in the AGM email they received or via the information in the AGM letter mailed to them.
